For July we are encouraging Fathers/Sons , Mothers/Daughters, and Mentors/Mentees to take a day (any day) to play old school games and sports together. We all complain that kids are spending too much time on TV, computer and video games, We are also complaining that kids spend too much time in streets getting into trouble. So why not do something about .

Keeping kids Active -- Keeps kids healthy
Keeping kids with family -----Keeps kids safe

1)Choose a day in July, where it will be just you and the little one ,
2) Take an afternoon to play one of the following sports or physical games
3)Take a pictures showing you & your youngin, playing sports
4) Make a routine or tradition out of it
5) Spread the message

Special prize will be given to parent -child to top 3 stories at the end of the month, so please send name and e-mail with submissions, otherwise submissions not necessary just enjoy time with your child

Acupuncture Teaching Session -  To Be Announced

Ever thought about acupuncture, but unsure, fearful of the needles etc..  We will be hosting a small session on acupuncture , its purpose, benefits and see a demonstration from a licensed and certified practitioner

Food Sampling & Wine Tasting Healthy food and preparation is the focus of this event.  Offering samples of healthy soul food recipes and 2-3 wines for those looking for alternatives to eating out. .

Harlem,  take Care of yourself Health fair- 
City College of New York, Great Hall 139th Street and Convent avenue Is an event that will address health disparities in Harlem and surrounding communities.. There will be a Symposium inside the Great Hall and vendors rights outside.The Noelli Center will have a booth on Nutrition 
This event will hosted by the Minority Association of Pre-health Students and Sophie Davis Chapter of the Student National Medical Association 

 Harlem Book Fair-  July 17th 2010
 The Noelli Center Will be participating in The Harlem Book Fair , providing different health books

July 17th, 2010. 11am - 6pm. W. 135th Street Harlem.
